Happy 5th Birthday! What a great birthday! You have been so excited for this birthday and have been talking about it for a year and a half! You know that being 5 means you get to go to kindergarten and you can't wait!

I really hope you had a wonderful day! It started with the house being decorated with banners and balloons and 5 helium balloons hanging on your bed. You had blue pancakes with candles for breakfast and got to wear a new shirt with a happy birthday boy ribbon. You went to pre-school and was thrilled that they sang happy birthday to you. When I picked you up, you asked if we could go to lunch and McDonalds with Cooper, so that's what we did and Cooper gave you a kite and M&M's.

After a nap, Heather, Quinton and Clara showed up and then Jeni, John and Mackayla came over and Grandma brought Logan and we had your requested dinner of grilled cheese sandwiches and jello. I added deviled eggs and tomato soup. Jeni, John and Mackayla made a pinata, so everyone had a lot of fun hitting it!

Grandma made you a great dog cake, which was also your request. For the last week, you kept telling me that all you wanted for your birthday was "little scriptures". So, I got you a small Book of Mormom, and you were thrilled. I also got you a play ATM, that is a bank, which you have been wanting from Walgreens forever! Connor got you Diego boat playset, Grandma Packer got you 2 Lego sets, Heather got you a Lightsaber, The Bybees got you two Transformers and a set of "Hero" flashcards.

You had a lot of fun playing with Connor, Logan, Quinton, Clara and John and before you went to sleep tonight, you asked me if tomorrow was also your birthday, and when I said no, you said, "Like Christmas". I hope that means you had a great day!

You are truly my rainbow in my life! I love you so much and 5 years ago you completely changed my life! You are an amazing little boy and I am so proud of you! You bring me happiness every day! You have a kind heart and you care about others around you. I love you, my little 5 year old!
